Get an OpenRouter API key

One OpenRouter key gives you many models, including free ones. Create a key and connect it to Noivq.

Takes about 3 minutes
You’ll end up with a key likeone that starts with sk-or-v1-
  1. Step 1: Sign in to OpenRouter

Go to openrouter.ai and sign in, or create an account.

  2. Step 2: Create a key with a credit limit

Open openrouter.ai/keys and create a key. Give it a name and choose a credit limit. OpenRouter recommends a limit on every key, so a leaked key can’t spend your whole balance.

  3. Step 3: Copy your key

Copy the key and keep it safe. It usually starts with sk-or-v1-.

  4. Step 4: Paste it into Noivq

Open Noivq’s Setup page (the gear button at the top of the side panel) and go to AI connection. Choose OpenRouter, paste the key, press Save, then Test connection.

Then type a Model id. It’s the part of a model’s page address after openrouter.ai/. Free models only work with the :free ending, for example qwen/qwen3.8-27b:free; the same name without it is the paid version.

The key is stored only in your browser and sent only to OpenRouter. Noivq has no server that could see it.
